BEAT-DIMENSIONAL

Beat-Dimensional was designed to be projected in the cathedral of Faro, Algarve. The aim was to communicate the interation between music and visual art.

The concept was based on the notion of the rhythm of music, what can make us feel, and how we react. The forms and the visual dimension are important for music. That is why the inspiration was originated in abstractionism, more concretely the geometric, in addition to the expressionist, among others.
Inspired in artists as Kandinsky, Mondrian, Malevich, Theo van Doesburg, Calder, and Bauhaus. The goal was to illustrate the spontaneity of gestures and forms, and how visually the images can flow around music.
